Properties: Pendimethalin is yellowish to yellowish brown solid; Melting point 54~ 58℃ ; Vapour pressure 40Pa at 20℃ . Solubility in water( 25℃ ) is 0.3my/L, corn oil 148 g /L; other acetone 77 g /L; xylene 628 g /L。
Toxicity: Acute oral LD50 technical for rats, 1250mg/kg. Acute dermal LD50 for mice, 1620mg/kg. No carcinogenic, mutagenic and teratogenic effects at experimental dosage. High toxic to fish and aquatic organisms. Low toxic to bees and birds, oral LD50 for bees, 59.0mg/kg, acute oral LD50 for wigeon 10g/kg•d. Acute oral LD50 of 33% EC for rats, 2.9g/kg(male) and 2.7g/kg(female), acute dermal for male rabbits 6.8g/kg, acute inhale for rats >475mg/m3.
